Angan – the club’s first consistent driver, always pumped for every 5GR ride, and the man behind the lenses capturing our best moments. Originally from Kolkata but based in Bangalore for over a decade now. He is a Software Architect, and his weekdays revolve around tech and systems. But, his weekends often begin with the sound of the ignition and the promise of the open road.

Angan stands out for the way he treats everyone with respect, spreads brotherhood on the roads, and drives with remarkable skill. He says, “Driving isn’t just about reaching a destination — it’s about the rhythm of the road, the silence between miles, and the stories that unfold along the way.“

Talking about his personal roadtrips, Angan says “Some drives have left a lasting mark — like the Bangalore–Vijayawada–Vizag–Puri–Kolkata–Bangalore loop, a 3,000+ kms journey reconnecting me with my roots, and the Bangalore–Munnar–Periyar–Varkala–Bangalore trip that captured everything I love about travel – misty hills, forest roads, and calm coastal sunsets.”

Talking about the club, in his own words, “I’ve been driving with the 5GR family since 2018, and over the years, it’s become more than just a club – it’s a circle of friends who share the same passion for travel, conversation, and discovery. With 5GR, a few drives truly stand out. The Bangalore–Pune–Mumbai–Bangalore circuit remains one of my favorites – long stretches, great company, and memories that made every kilometer worth it. Another was our Gandikota drive, where we watched the sunrise paint the gorge in gold — a moment that summed up exactly what 5GR means to me: connection, exploration, and peace in motion.“

Talking about his current ride, Angan says “I drive a Honda City Hybrid— smooth, dependable, and perfect for the kind of long journeys I love. Over the years, my travel companion has taken me across thousands of kilometers and countless memories, each one a reminder of why the road never stops calling.
